do we need a new friday 13th?

I've never been a huge fan of the Friday the 13th series.  I've seen them all except maybe the last one, but they've never done much for me.  If they're on TV I'll watch them.  I always favored Nightmare on Elm Street and felt like that means I can't get too into F13. 

I like to joke that Jason is chasing the Muppets.... Muppets take Manhattan and Muppets from Space came out a few years before Jason takes Manhattan and then he goes to space in Jason X.. I know, I'm hilarious.  Maybe Jason can go to Treasure Island?

I like the scrapped idea of tying the Friday the 13th TV series to the movies where Jason's mask was supposed to have been one of the cursed objects from the antique shop.

I'd never even heard of the F13 tv series until I saw that Crystal Lake memories doc last year. definitely not something I ever remember being show on tv here at any point.

Like Freddy's Nightmares, F13 the TV series was crap. Excellent marketing, though, using the coattails/famous name of a more famous series to get your show over. All I can really remember is the devil-possessed cursed artifact shop and a hot redhead.  I remember hoping every week that Jason would show up, but in retrospect, I'm glad they didn't go with the cursed hockey mask, although that's not as bad as the explanation/origin backstory from part 9 -eeeh gads!
