Heeeere we go again...

Deadline sez there's a new RoboCop flick in the works, to be directed by Neill Blomkamp of "District 9" and "Chappie" fame.

Apparently it will be based off of a sequel script the writers of the original drafted back in the late '80s but was never used.

The article doesn't specify if the flick will feature the "old school" RoboCop or the new-look 2014 version, but since this script idea was connected with the original film(s), I would imagine they'd go with the O.G. version. I sure hope so anyway.

Not a fan, huh?

The only one of Blomkamp's films I've ever seen was District 9, which I liked well enough.

I've heard mixed reviews of Elysium, it's been on my list to check out but I haven't gotten round to it yet.

The trailers for Chappie looked really stupid so I intentionally passed on that.
