This movie was kinda strange. Everything about it seemed great yet as a whole it just didn't add up to the sum of it's parts.

But, hey, nazis being massacred horribly. I'm for it. And I think all the elements are really good when looked at individually, so i like it. I wish they'd have a good dvd of it. remastered,. etc.

From what I've read on this one the released version was a bit butchered by the studio ala Dune. I've been told the book is a good read, although it is not one I've came across so far. A lot of people seem to love the soundtrack although it is neither here nor there for me. I do enjoy this one, it was a childhood favourite of mine.

Random info. There was a board game made of the movie.

I read the book long before the movie came out and really enjoyed it.
The movie was OK, though.  A decent adaptation.

The Burgomaster

I saw it in the theater and HATED it.

I saw it. Made no sense to me at all.

I watched it on TUBI-TV about a year ago, didn't dig it at all.
It had a great cast and cool set designs, but it went absolutely nowhere.

I understand that the director's original cut was almost three hours long, maybe they took out all the stuff that made sense when they shaved it down to 90 minutes. :D
