BLACULA is a guilty pleasure.  It is so stupid, and that poster is stupider.  Y'got the whole movie there if BLACULA gets a stake... and white chicks... but he doesn't.    Lurid.  And DUMB.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Well, you have to understand that the image of "Black man/white woman" is a powerful dog whistle to some people. It's a very big red flag to a lot of the right, and conversely the counter culture this movie was aimed at when it was made saw the red flags that POed "the establishment" as it was known then as a big "Enter" sign. I understand the poster in context of it's time, like "Hey, 'the system"! Yeah, we're putting as big black man around your precious little  white women! What'cha gonna do 'bout it?!"

I mean i understand it in it's historical context, but it's still lurid  as hell. Then again the counter culture move wasn't so big on subtlety.

Like any generation has acted with any "subtlety"? Are you kidding?
EVERY generation since people have been on this s**tball-have been f**king each other up in one way or another.  No "generation" is any better than the other. Just different.

Not a poster-but an ad from 1950!
"Horrors of the Orient!" This is 5 years after WW2.

Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."
