The Oscar winning filmmaker passed away: another giant - even though he was very controversial - of the cinema has left us.  Thumbdown

Great director, his zenith was likely THE LAST EMPEROR which won 9 (NINE!!!) Oscars!  Though 1900 and Last Tango In Paris are also highly acclaimed.  RIP BB.
