Wonder what kittens taste like?
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

I have a friend who is obsessed with UFOs and so for Christmas I was thinking I'd convince him he'd been abducted by aliens. Now all I need is a jigger of the date rape drug, an ET mask, and a greased broom handle.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

Chicken.

If it helps, I can lay my hands on either a full-size Alien bodysuit, or a Storm Trooper outfit.

I have what some would call evil thoughts but posting them would have some people  gleefully calling the FBI.

Yes, Mrs. King, but except for that, how was his trip to Memphis?

(Remember, I said evil.)

Yep, since comedy equals tragedy plus time. Ah, don't feel bad, the Soviets couldn't laugh at Lenin either, and MLK has definitely become a similar icon in American minds, this marble person, a perfect man, like a Medieval saint, and oh-so-serious, who never shat or f**ked or farted or let out a belly laugh at the thought of his own demise. Shame when a person becomes sacred. And, yeah, I laughed hard at it.

It was, after all, evil.

Finally a shocking topic? The revelation that on this board where Jesus, child molestation and bestiality are common fodder for comedy, something is sacred after all. Wow. Nice work, me.

How about you call me.
I'll give the phone to Tiana, and you give her your reason for posting it?

The same joke was made a few days ago, only about Abe Lincoln and no one bothered about it then. Funny how these things go.

Interesting reaction, RC. So there is at least one thing in your life you consider too sacred for jest?

The old joke about Lincoln at the theater is all right, but King is untouchable? Take a minute to think about why you feel that way. Is it a choice on your part or have we all been conditioned to acquire a certain tone when discussing and dealing with this civil rights leader? I reject being programmed, myself, and think a little humor works in yanking back the curtain and showing that we too can be lead around. I like liberation, the ability to instruct everyone and anyone not to tell me what to do, think, or say. I love freedom of speech and I hate that fact that this often noble and brave Baptist preacher who stood up for what he saw as right has become an icon befitting the USSR.

It's a good joke and an interesting psychological test.

I'm p**sed. If that was your point- it was made.
Doesn't make me less p**sed or change my mind one f**king bit.
I still would like you to explain that to Tiana. She could give a f**k less about how nothing is sacred around this board.
What I said still stands.

I guess, RC, I like people who can laugh. Laugh at the absurdity of life, even laugh at tragedy sometimes. (Not always, a dead child is never funny and cruelty to animals isn't either. Adult people I feel less sorry for since we're all jerks.) I think certain people, Jews, Irish, gay men in general, are good at laughing at the human condition and even at laughing in iconoclastic fashion at icons in particular.

I sat there the other night listening to my nineteen-year-old cousin and his....whatever, his latest romp of the week, tell gay jokes for the fun of it. ("How do you make a gay baby cry? Pull the pacifier out of his ass." And oldie but still a goodie, new to them, I guess.) And that's so much better than going around being offended all the time like US society is too often these days. If it takes an MLK joke to show buttons can be pushed, so be it. Why isn't he fair game?

Besides, look up, the thread is evil thoughts. What's more evil than capping on the murder of someone good?

Lighten up, you're RC Merchant, the most individualistically anti-everything person I know and I wouldn't change that about you if I could.

And I get f**king p**sed too. Your right- I AM very anti-everything. Right now- I'm anti-you.
But I'll get over it.
