Online job applications

I know some people have tried to make these pictures of a "Homeless Person" standing next to a HELP WANTED sign go viral, But how many of them truly understand the frustration of walking in, only to be referred to the website, only to get redirected to an application service you have to sign up for, which after making you go to the trouble, will either give you an error message locking you out, or if successful, will redirect you to another application service, which in turn, will either give you an error message or redirect you to yet another application service, over & over & over again!

Seriously, I don't know how people find employment these days.

Because everything has to be hard these days. Like working on a car. You have to have real computer type skills to fix a stupid radio! Anything from before about 1989, I can fix.
I was lucky just to have my s**tty factory job at Honee Bear Canning for 30 years. Didn't get paid s**t. I know that sounds like grumpy old man s**t. But it's not. It's f**king p**sed off old man s**t.

i refuse to do the "service" thing. and the last 2 short term gigs were because i was at the bar the night before and watched. then i went in the next day and told them i'd work days/evenings until they got a GOOD night cook. a month i each job was fine with me, and i trained good people. i EAT at those bars, i want GOOD cooks!

Why both The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth were failures (the first critically and the second financially).

I haven't seen either film in many years, but I remember liking them both with THE DARK CRYSTAL beautifully done.

even curtis, who generally hates things like this, adores dark crystal. it was the first movie of its type that i hooked him on, i was rather proud. labrynth, well... he watches it for bowie, but not often. me, it's on my " turn" list.

Alex

Do you know about the Dark Crystal TV series on the way?

Alex

I am more enthused about the Dark Crystal show than the Labyrinth sequel to be honest.

of course. so am i. without bowie, i'm struggling to wrap my head around any other version of labrynth.

I just don't see a need  for a labyrinth sequel.  Does some terrible disaster happen to the land she went to and they need Sarah to save  them?  Maybe something so evil it killed jareth is loose.

Just please don't let them cast justin bieber as the new bad guy.....  :buggedout:

Taking Storm Area 51 seriously. It was meant as a joke.

Boundary mics
The cords (Mini XLR) cost a fortune & are next to impossible to find one their own, so you usually find a mic with a cord for about half the price, but if you find a second hand boundary mic on it's own, it's usually maybe ten or twenty bucks, because it's useless without the mini XLR cord....
