Robert E. Howard, famous for creating Conan, Red Sonja and Krull, also created the lesser known character of Solomon Kane, a puritan adventurer who battled various dark and unholy forces in the world of Olde England.

Apparently there's a movie of him on netflix, I make no claims to the quality of it and have heard fans say it isn't very canon, but still, a movie about a righteous puritan adventurer might be up indy's ally.

Apparently there is some dispute over the "canonality" of this movie. It seems Howard may nit have created an origin for Kane and how he became the man he was in the stories. So, this movie is the background on Kane and what made him the dour puritan adventurer he was in the stories Howard wrote.

Reviews for it are all over the place.

Yeah, marvel did some mature comics about Solomon Kane.
