Oh yes, just one the many ideas I have in mind.....

I could unplug it, then plug it back in to one of the one or two sockets it shouldn't go into (I mean on the panel)
I could start to pull on the other end & see if there's a fish attached to it
I could follow it into whatever diabolical realms it may lead
