If it was 1970, I saw it that year in the Spring Lake, NJ movie theater.  

Ain't no 'If' about it. I did see it in 1970. The first year I bought my first Famous Monsters (#81).

Well on WIKI they say 1971... IMDB says it was released July 30, 1971... which makes more sense in my own memory... we moved A LOT.

I've got the blu ray of GRIZZLY too...in the bonus extras there's a making-of documentary that suddenly and inexplicably starts showing full frontal nude photos of Christopher George. wtf? I wish I could unsee that
