In the 60's Las Vegas experimented with tourist busses that allowed tourists to tan while they toured the city.

It was discontinued after several of the older passengers  ended up as tourist jerky.

In a weird way, I can still see the issue between the window & aisle seats, &-

Wait a minute, what's that pointy thing on the front for?

I'll bet they'd make nice greenhouses for the traveling potter...

Unless you have a really good airconditioning, that would be more like 'bake while you tour' in the Las Vegas climate.

Quick Googly search says it's a Citroen U55, popular in France between 1955 & 1959.....
And the pointy thing is supposed to protect helicopters from wires, which still doesn't make sense...

I'm not sure Mr. Freeze himself could design an AC that would keep you cool in that vehicle in vegas.

Hmm, stringing wires across a road was a good way of killing people riding in vehicles down them. After ww2 nazi resistance did it in german cities, decapitating several people. Jeeps were fitted with special vertical bars meant to catch the wires and save the occupants.

One of my favorite movie scenes was in "force 10 from navarone" where a nazi commander is hilariously decapitated by a cable across the road as he rides in the back of a truck giving orders.

Here's an image of an allied jeep in post war germany fitted with a cable catcher.

Well, you could open the roof & the windows, which was good for getting all that '50s era Parisian cigarette smoke out.
