you were probably wise to withdraw, but, I for one, would like to know why you thought the docco was underhanded?
What happened to make me think so was a week before my interview was to be taped, the makers - who had written permission from my bosses for me to take part - told me that I would also be asked about apartheid and what was going on in SA in 1981: that was something I had no permission to talk about and I wasn't living here then, nor did I grow up under those crappy laws.
I confronted the filmmakers about this, reminding them of what I had permission to talk about and withdrew from the project.
