So if you could buy a BMDO'er a present for this years festive season what would it be and why?

No one is allowed to answer Sven and a copy of 'How to make friends & influence people' or a dictionary, or a spell checker... and so on.  Or even a complete collection of Collect the Monkey moves.

I think I'd get Indy a genuine Roman toga that had somehow survived the centuries and was worn by some famous Roman leader, although I can't quite decide on which one. I am pretty sure he'd post a video up on Youtube of his running around wearing it.

Of course, we could all then start chanting "TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!" and crash his place for an 'Animal House' style toga party.

I would buy BELA (RCMerchant) an AHI Dracula action figure sealed on the card.  

BELA has shared with this forum a picture of himself receiving a gift of that exact figure.  He was at the age of around 10 - 47 years ago (when such toys were still available at retail).  Originally costing as little as a buck in the bargain bin (AHI Monsters did not sell very well... AHI = Azrak Hamway) I had a sealed example that I sold for around $300.  Here's an example that sold on eBay in September for $285.

Man, I have thought about finding one of those for you for years... ever since I sold all of my monsters.  I do think of you.    


Here's another pic from that closed auction of the BACK of that carded figure.  I think the Bela Jr. lawsuit forced them to remove BELA LUGOSI from a lot of rip-off images, making an AHI Drac with Bela back a desirable collectible.  Maybe; I don't remember anymore.  

 

There is one for sale right now on eBay for $400, which I think is too much for the AHI answer to Bela Jr's lawsuit; they shrunk the BELA image:

I'd give Ronnie a signed photo of Bela Lugosi,  AHD would get an autographed copy of George W. Bush's DECISION POINTS, ER an early retirement from her job so she could be with her kids full-time, and Alex would get one of my Roman rings.  For Bob, I'd get a DVD collection of the classic Svengoolie Show, and A.J. Bauer would get a copy of Lee Strobel's THE CASE FOR FAITH, while the Rev. would get a sheriff's badge once worn by Wyatt Earp.  And for Paquita - an autographed picture of Linnea Quigley as the hot red-headed zombie in RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD.
