I don't think I've seen THE PHANTOM MENACE, but I am no fan of anything STAR WARS (except the first 3 which were fun and non-nutritive).

'kay.  I didn't say it was a good movie... but when we were kids, we loved that crap.  I saw it this year, and as corny as it is, it still looks good...and fake!

I've only seen the original and loved it!
