Allhallowsday

I met CAROL SPINNEY about 25 years ago.  A nice man of short stature who held his right hand up in the air, probably the ten thousandth time demonstrating his puppetry.  I was not particularly impressed then by BIG BIRD or MUPPETS, though people of my generation love them just because.  I was sad when JIM HENSON died, though now I realize he was only 53... It's only since that I've come to appreciate the MUPPET cultural contribution.  When I'm sad, or reflective, I listen to this:

Then I feel exquisite pain.  :bluesad:  I reflect on my hurts and regrets.  CAROL SPINNEY died on the 8th; it's like BIG BIRD died.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Loved the Muppets. Grew up in the 80s and 90s. Fraggle Rock, Muppet show repeats, Sesame Street, Etc.

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.

Grew up with the muppets and sesame street.  Its actually a little sad with with all its money, the best Disney's been able to due with them is use them for some tv commercials.  Yes, there was that one Muppets movie from a few years ago that was good-but that feels more like the exception and not the rule as of late.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

It's my younger sister who introduced me to the Muppets, and, as for my favorite Muppet, it's Rowlf.

And the Muppets have a new TV series Muppets Now, which will be seen on Disney+ beginning in 2020.

ER

It always amazes me how professional Muppets manage to be despite having to work with someone's hand constantly up their backside.

BTW on its YouTube channel Vanity Fair has been doing some funny Muppet videos, everything from Big Bird taking a polygraph (despite not knowing what a lie is), to Muppets doing impersonations of each other.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

Bohemian Rhapsody.  As performed by the Muppets.  :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:
