Last I heard of a Blob remake, Rob Zombie was attached and he didn't want to include any big pink slime monster because it looked silly.  Since then he dropped the project.  Has somebody else picked it up?

Alex

For many years there have been rumours of Escape from New York remake and Big Trouble In Little China, which has went as far as having Dwayne Johnson attached as the star.

Creativity died a long time ago, and it's all our fault, because we give them money to watch this garbage.

Sure do! I love DAUGHTER OF HORROR (1955)!
Actually, Lugosi did many live spook show in the 50's on stage before a film played in many theaters!
Of course, when the BLOB was made, Bela had been dead for 2 years. Oddly, the film the BLOB was on a triple bill with DINOSAURUS (1960), and MY SON THE VAMPIRE (1952) aka the VAMPIRE starring Lugosi, in 1960!
