COVID-19 Rant

Apologies for my language in advance but I was contacted by the person in charge of Mom's care home this morning: one of their (and her) carers tested positive for COVID 19.

I told the person to tell the carer that if Mom gets ill and dies because of their unwillingness to get vaccinated, the carer will f******g join her.

I saw to it that Mom was vaccinated earlier this year (she got the one shot) so she should be OK but the carer getting tested positive for COVID makes me livid.

I've also got more worries on the work front regarding the docco I was supposed to be on: I haven't been well at all and I asked not to be filmed and now they're complaining "that I am not helping". WTF next, I don't know.

Got the booster shot yesterday. Felt a bit rough last night and today I am in a fair bit of pain especially in my knees, but you know what? My temporary mild discomfort helps keep other people alive so I am good with that.

There's no excuse for medical people refusing to be vaccinated.  Unadulterated idiocy, folly, selfishness and inconsideration all made into one big stupid alloy.

In the UK, people working with the elderly can either get the vaccine or get a new job. I see the USAF has kicked out 27 people for refusing to get the vaccine. Hoping we institute that policy too, unless they have a sound medical reason not to get it.

I got my booster last Friday;  all three of my shots were the Pfizer, which is the most effective of the various ones out there.
So I'm as safe as modern medicine can make me!

I read in the case of vaxed and boosted persons who then contract omicron will likely not need hospitalization but will also develop "super-immunity". 
Let's hope it's true.
