We took as out to the twice-yearly model train fair today. I had £200 in my wallet and gave Ash £50 to get stuff with. By the time we got home I somehow only had £10 left. Kristi picked up a camera for Ash's xmas, but we'd planned on giving it to him for our holiday. He got it today so he could practise taking pictures with the trains.

I blame Kristi's side of the family. Her father was a huge train spotter and would follow trains across the US for days.

I have had to concede that the diorama I was planning on building for Kristi is just too damn big. It was supposed to be the Ring Wraiths attacking the Hobbits on Weathertop, but the ruins for the ancient fortifications are about a foot tall and wide. When you add a hill onto that, then the base takes up a massive area. I mean I guess it could be a dinner table centre piece or something, but it certainly won't easily go on a shelf.

Looks like I'll need to buy a new computer chair. The current one has suffered badly from cats claws and in addition has started going down when people sit on it. I still miss my old wooden rocking computer chair. That one had a thing where you would lean back in it as far as it would go and then suddenly it would go back an extra inch. Caught me out every damn time. My ex was convinced one day it would dump me on the floor. Never did though.
