What about BLAME IT ON RIO?

The girls were hot, but that really was a rather bad movie!

Who'd have thought MICHAEL CAINE should be our mascot?
I do remember an interview of MICHAEL CAINE and he said something to the effect of "I have made a lot of sh!t."
MICHAEL CAINE has made so many bad movies it's hard to pick a favorite... (beyond poseidon)

that is one i really don't remember if i saw that one and i think i have but it's such a forgettable film that i prolly don't remember it for that reason. though Educating Rita (1983) that's one of his Best. ya know The Hand (1981) in itself doesn't sound like a bad idea for a film if you think about it but it's too bad the film suffers from such a bad script. i'm not much of a woody Allen Fan i can say that there isn't that many i've seen of his,

i haven't seen Annie Hall (1977) so i'm not calling that one awful. Match Point (2005) i went and saw and i thought it was a decent movie. The Curse of the Jade Scorpion (2001) i did really like. everything you always wanted to know.... (1972) was just plain terrible and Play it Again Sam (1972) was also terrible. but Scenes from a Mall (1991) i do enjoy. so that's about it from the ones i have seen of his. i know it's not a woody Allen thread but i'm just explaining myself better that's all.

as for Caine. Sleuth (2007) was an okay film that's about it an okay film. Blood & Wine (1996) was terrible, Surrender (1987) is Painfully bad.

The Fourth Protocol (1987) is also another bad one. i'm looking at IMDB cause these are so forgettable i need to look them up

I did not like the ITALIAN JOB (1968)
Maybe because of the English pub song soundtrack.

He IS in the other WOODY ALLEN movie cited as a possible "worst MICHAEL CAINE" an assertion to which I disagreed.    :tongueout:

What about the Harry Palmer movies?
Given, I've only seen The Ipcress File (1965) & Billion Dollar Brain (1967)....

I will disagree with that. I can't stand any Woody Allen movie.

honestly Woody Allen also gives me the creeps, he plays the same character in all his films though he is a good director though i do give him that. there's plenty of movies people love that i just can't stand and that's fine Hannah & her sisters (1986) is just one of those films i thought was terrible and if he likes it he likes it  that's why i say to agree to disagree cause haven't an argument over what's good and bad about it just isn't worth it.

as for Caine yeah The harry Palmer movies the Ipcress File (1965) i didn't care for it's not a bad movie for me it's just boring the 2nd one though  Funeral in Berlin (1966) i did quite Enjoy.. Billion Dollar Brain (1967) i have not seen yet,  i have seen Midnight in St. Petersburg  (1995)  and i forget the other one.

those i saw years ago before i saw the 60's ones.  The Italian Job (1968) is one of those films where it's slow for about the first hr or so and it takes quite a while to pick up. i enjoy it though it's not among my favorites and i'd love to see the Original ending cause they did shoot an actual ending cause it hadn't ended on a cliffhanger like that Originally but i dunno if that footage still exists i hope it does and is found one day as i would love to see it.

that one was that they were gonna do a sequel to it but than it bombed when it came out and the idea for a sequel was of course dropped
