I have to mention this again, I watched ROBO VAMPIRES a year ago.   I don't remember anything about it at all except that it's Directed by Godfrey Ho.   My roommmate swears we did in fact watch it.    I guess my brain toally cored dumped all memory of ever watching it as a self preservation mechanism .

Weird, I also think I've watched the movie before, but I couldn't tell you a single thing about it.

It is a movie that was made with contempt IMHO.

^ I don't think anyone enjoys that movie, but it IS notorious for it's prolonged rape scene.
And that alone made it money. It was like a dare to horror movie fans who think going to taboo extremes makes a good film. I'm not 35 years old reading Fangoria magazine ads looking for the most disgusting movie ever made anymore. And I used to do it.
Personally, I think it's reprehensible garbage.

I love I spit on your Grave. I identified with the woman. thats life

Creation of the Humanoids is amazing for the script. just the strangest take on the b movie, to have these long winded dialogues instead of lazer battles and so forth

I think Kornula has a broad interest in films, and recognizes BAD.  But disliking a movie is just not enough reason to cite it as "worst of all time".  Other people's opinions are largely irrelevant, it's about what the viewer writing the list thinks.  If you know it's BAD and enjoy it, own it.  I think "worst" has got to at least approach "bad bad" as suggested above; no good for anybody.

I do think MANOS THE HANDS OF FATE is imminently forgettable.  It's inordinately dull.  It belongs on a 50 worst list to me, yet I have seen WORSE!

Recently, a list of Movies that Roger Ebert HATED popped up in a Facebook feed. Naturally, I read it and was shocked the movies he haated.  they weren't bad.. nor memorable.. just eh.

Everyone has reasons they find movies "bad".. or just bad all together.  I agree, there are worse movies than MANOS, THE HANDS OF FATE.

I posted my personal list to generate a discussion.. which is happening.  :P

What is worse than Manos btw...and why.
If I remember right Ebert explicitly left out most b & z grade movies from his bad film lists. He felt it was poor sport to tear down a movie made with limited resources.

What part?
The run of the mill revenge part? Or the misogynist rape part?
When that movie isn't boring, it's just disgusting.
Either way, it's bad- and not in any good way.

Read up on "I Spit on Your Grave" last year. Apparently the director found a woman who'd been raped, & he took her to the police. He wanted to show how brutal rape was.

I have no interest in seeing the film; from the plot description it sounds like he made several mistakes which could've made the main character less sympathetic than she should've been.

I completely agree with Ron, it's not boring.  Every moment counts.  It is disgusting.  I hate that crap, though the 2nd half revenge part is the "best" part of the film it is also the least graphic.  I don't understand what there is to relate to; revenge?  I can't understand "loving" it unless rape / murder is your gig.

Does that make it a good movie?
If it was well made...but it's not. It's s**t.
