Ants eating food.
They work as an army to tear apart that wasp I just killed. All in uniform order. Like robots. So cool.
Some even start carrying large pieces off and try like hell to get it into the ant hole. Where I'm sure the Queen of the Ants is waiting for her devotions.

^ of course not. I don't mean every day. Just when I'm outside and I happen to stare at ants. Which happens with me. I like ants. Who's worried about wasps in the winter? Unless they got a nest in your attic.
I mean- if I'm having a BBQ at my home- i'm not gonna spend my time watching ants tear apart an insect.

I used to do it a lot as a kid. I didn't have video games or internet. I went into cornfields in the fall when the stalks were yellow, and pretend I was Thor or some s**t. Me and my brothers would stride thew cornfields with sticks striking down our enemies. Of course we were little kids.
And look at ants!

I thought I was pretty clear, man. I killed the wasp. And it was last summer. I was outside cooking. I killed a wasp. I threw it on an ant hill.
Because even when I was a little kid, I fed ants.

I mentioned pointillism at the beginning of the thread.....
They always remind me of when I would try to look at the pixels in magazine pictures with my toy microscope when I was a kid... Big waste of time!

That, & they're a big diversion from the works of Bob Ross....

I can't find a picture of it, but the one that turned me on to pointillism Is Serenade by Marcus Uzilevsky.

Yeah. I actually practice it myself.

I don't use a lot of cross hatching or shading. Mostly straight solid lines and ink dots . And extended dots.
I think I do it in comic book form. I ain't no Van Gough- but that's ok. I want to keep my ears!
