I do research this forum quite a bit and often come across threads that go all the way back, older than 2006.  I think some of the "guest" old IDs may no longer have the email addresses the users had registered under...  

I'm sure Mofo Rissing is still around, and Flangepart.
EDIT- Hell, man! You signed up in 2005-before I did! That's why your older posts are gone.
After the forum change in 2006, all is lost before that.

Everything before 2006 is preserved, that's the part I don't agree with.  

If you look at any registered User ID you will find a full history of all postings available through that user's profile.  Look at The Burgomaster's profile - his postings go back to 2003.  Look at Archivist - 2005.
