I do research this forum quite a bit and often come across threads that go all the way back, older than 2006.  I think some of the "guest" old IDs may no longer have the email addresses the users had registered under...

If you look at any registered User ID you will find a full history of all postings available through that user's profile.  Look at The Burgomaster's profile - his postings go back to 2003.  Look at Archivist - 2005. 
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!
