A wandering brain can be a very good thing, RC, as long as it remembers to wander back on occasion.

Does anyone know if an ancestor of mine struck the blow that laid a King of England low?

Given that a person can have a million descendants in a thousand years, it's possible.

One of my ancestors tore a Royal Navy recruitment poster off a wall in Galway and got got sent to prison for sedition against the Crown. He ended up dying there during a disease outbreak shortly before he was supposed to be released.

The Irish had their reasons for disliking the English.

No, it's only 372 years since a king of England was laid low by one stroke.  I have evidence, particularly my father's name, that it was my ancestor who done the deed.

How come people used to say the moon was made of "green" cheese? The moon is white, not green.

Will I ever feel in the mood to sit down and watch 'Breaking Bad'?
Hail to thyself

I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

I don't know, but I never thought I'd be interested in it until my dad got me watching one day when we had some time to kill. I was hooked quickly and glad I gave it a chance.

I can't answer for your moods but the show is definitely worth watching. Just be careful it doesn't make you add he word "B!tch" to every sentence you speak.

Where did Jesus' earthly body go when he ascended to Heaven?
To heaven.

Humans will get a new body at the end of time, which will go to heaven or hell.

Meanwhile, the dead's spirits reside in paradise or hades.

I don't think his physical body went to heaven. His corpse floated out of that cave?
His spirit, perhaps, but not his bones. That's just physically impossible, Captain.

His body would've walked out of the grave. He rose to heaven later.

He always seemed to have powers which defied normal explanations, & after His resurrection he seemed to gain more powers. Personally, I'd say appearing in a room is stranger than floating to heaven.

It is out of my experience, but I won't disregard something for that.

So I can just abuse this body as much as I want, because at the end of time, I'll get a new one anyway?
Sorry man, but I want your drugs!
That's insane!  :buggedout:

^Ok! Whatever floats your boat is cool with me.
Your right, of course " normal explanations" do not apply when it comes to Jesus.

" His body would have walked out of the grave".
Yeah. I suppose that could happen.  Happens every day. If your Dracula or the Frankenstein Monster or a zombie.
Do you understand what you said? If I said I was a Dracula, would you believe me?
Don't happen in the real world.

Dunno, the whole getting into heaven thing sounds a bit like someone giving you a disease, then saying the only way to get cured of the disease is to buy a cure from me and then expecting you to be grateful. I've never asked for or wanted his forgiveness.

In fact, I think the exact opposite should be happening. We should be getting asked for our forgiveness.

But each to their own and I'll defend anyone's right to believe in these things just as long as you don't expect me to join in.

I corrected a statement which seemed flippant. You cannot distort someone's belief & then critique the distorted version.

No; I wouldn't believe you were Dracula. You offer no proof; not even a witness to say "Hey, that guy has no reflection!"

I'd agree with that if I He were merely human. If God created you, me, & known reality, He would have some right over us, & he would have some say in what we should & should not do.
