Bad day at the construction site

I almost put this up in What Was That Film? until I remembered that Robert Duvall was in this cheeseball of a movie, so I narrowed down his '80s movies and found this. I haven't watched this since 1987 (literally) when it was on cable and I watched it with my mom & dad. I remember it being cheesy and bad, but it must have made an impression on me because it stars both Robert Duvall and Gary Busey with a couple of other guys as they set off to save Mark Harmon from those evil Colombians. The rest is just cliche Rambo/Soldier Of Fortune magazine B-movie crap (Robert Duvall's character's name is Norman Shrike, for god's sakes,) but I remember a lot of shooting and a decent body count, which is really all that we wanted out of movies in the '80s anyway.

Look! It's Robert Duvall!

Look! It's Elpida Carillo from Predator (1987)!

It hasn't been released on DVD yet, so there goes my plan of buying the blu ray. I still have an old VCR that I rarely use, so I might try to track down the VHS copy since a lot of bad movies look better in VHS anyway for some reason. If any bad movie needs the blu ray treatment though, this one certainly fits that bill!  Cheers

I remember this well: I saw the director's name and asked my Dad who this Alan Smithee was as I'd never heard of him. Dad went "Oy" and told me that if I ever saw that name on a film, it meant the director had disowned the film.
