I got an email earlier today asking if I wanted to return to That old volunteer radio gig...

I tried to start off cordial, but then I had to launch into a tangent about why I left.
It wasn't just one thing, it was a number of things that accumulated over a couple years....

Besides, the neighborhood it's in is someplace I wouldn't feel safe these days...

I did try to start off reply by saying I missed it, & how I tried to reach out after last summer's riots....

I have clients I worked with a long time ago and who treated me like dirt: I still refuse to help them beyond doing my normal work for them. One client in particular nearly put me in hospital in 2013 because of stress.

Thinking back on it, this was the same crowd that thought everyone should be driving a Prius while they all owned SUVs, or riding those cheap Chinese motor scooters while they owned brand new Triumph 650s, but I couldn't interest anybody in my cousin's electric race bike......
