If Mary Whitehouse had been able to understand how little her moral crusade would achieve beyond the short term, would she still have bothered?

I would guess she absolutely would. In my opinion, moral crusaders' highest priority isn't to effect meaningful change, but to express their feelings of moral superiority over others.

Recently discovered evidence suggests that the stories collected in Grimms fairy tales are much older than previously believed, dating back 5 to 6 thousand years.

Well no s**t Sherlock..

Just read my first review of the latest Indiana Jones & the inability to come up with a decent title movie. It is 99% glowing with praise.

I wonder if Burt Munro had arthritic hips & sciatic back problems.

Why do so many actors have a terrible last movie before they die?

^ Likely because they're past their prime. No one will hire them but low budget directors.

If I can pay a $10 subscription fee and hear basically 99% of new albums that are released, why hasn't someone used that model with magazine and newspaper articles?

I wish they'd make tv's with a volume cut out so that if the volume suddenly jumps up it hits a maximum. Would make watching films with lots of quiet talking bits and then loud action sequences a lot easier and from a technology point of view would not be hard to implement.

Are you sure within the audio menu there isn't a setting for stabilizing volume?

Ever notice lizards always have the same expression on their faces, even when they're getting eaten alive by a cat?

Give a man a fish and you've got a malleable dependant. Teach a man to fish and you've got competition.
