Because I have a need to learn things, today I ended up discovering what is meant by a 'Roman shower'. Wish I didn't know now.
For Christmas I got a massive book called 10,000 Things You Need To Know, and been enjoying making my way through the chapters and seeing factoids about, well, almost every topic and subject out there. You might like the book. I've always humbly subscribed to the idea that everyone knows something you don't, and I enjoy finding new things out.

Also a friend of mine in Austin had a Roman shower put into his house, and hated it because he said it felt like taking a shower in a locker room.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

I suspect this type of Roman shower is somewhat different to your friends one, unless you have a rather odd friend. It is definitely different to the one the good Rev mentioned. There seem to be variations on this such as a Baby Roman Shower, or Siamese Roman shower, none of which I have any urge to experience.

Oh, no, is that a dirty term or something? lol His shower was literally modeled on ones found in Roman ruins, a sort of semi-circular room with a tiled floor and a mosaic above and several shower heads beside each other, and there was a steam vent in the room. I don't know if he called it a Roman shower (this was the mid-'00s) but he described it as based on Roman showers. (And apparently they had showers....)

For some reason I read that as "golden shower".
I Think that reason was because I was stoned.

So vernal today I hung out laundry, figured the clothes would smell nice, save electricity, the forecast said no rain..... it is pouring out there right now, atop clothes that had been ninety percent dry when I felt them half an hour ago! Grrrrr.  :hatred:

Someone I know tonight: "We won, we won!"

Yeah, I still say it's only "we" if you were part of the game, not just living in the same city where it happened.

But then again I didn't say so since nobody likes a buzzkill, and she was happy.

Every random film I pick tonight out of the ones I've not seen before turns out to either have a plot so random as to be non-existent, an arthouse porno or both. Think I'll just go back and rewatch something I've seen before instead.

Won't be too long before it's all westerns because you haven't seen every formulaic one of those........................................
