This has been a wild week for me. I've cut out a toxic person from my life and now one of my college friends is starting her transitioning.  I'm proud of her and slightly envious of her as well.

Catching up on a week's worth of emails, and someone asked me how many people I knew (besides the sender) who'd slept with just one person in life, and I came up with a few but it was a remarkably challenging question. I think I know more people who went....far in the other direction.

Peripheral to the topic, sent this great song to the same person, who, remarkably, had never heard it. I remember one time when it was playing I made my body board-stiff and I got bench pressed by someone lying on the floor. I only weigh eight pounds more than I did in 1995 when I was an inch and a half shorter and a little too skinny, but nobody ever bench presses me anymore, to this or any other song. Dang. I wanna be bench pressed again.

Robert Johnson's collected works have been released multiple times at the wrong speed. In the same way that silent films were sped up, music of that era was often given the same treatment. Multiple youtube accounts have put forth remixed Johnson works that sound a lot more like a guy playing a guitar than the originals. and yet the orignals have their charm. Maybe Johnson was the Charlie Chaplin of the blues
