I know there's no way for me to say something like this without it sounding self-aggrandizing or trite or boastful or something, but it humbles me and awes me how many times in my life I have cheated death. How? Why am I still alive? Luck? Fate? Chance? It overwhelmed me this morning having breakfast with my family, looking at them, sharing this wonderful mundane moment in time, how unlikely it was that I was with them, that I am with them, how truly amazing it all is. I felt gratitude, certainly, but mostly I felt a quake of shock hit me. A couple people who read this will understand, maybe, I guess, how it can be stressful to contemplate that I'm here. It's enough in itself to overpower me and I had to fight hard today not to start crying. I'm still alive.

God in Heaven but this has been an insane life.

My blood sugar got real low. I called 911, and they feed me tubes of glucose. Saved my life, but dam! I couldn't s**t for a day and a half! I took laxatives! I was s**tting like Harry in DUMB AND DUMBER!
