The American actor famous for Blue Velvet and Al in Quantum Leap has passed away at the age of 85.

Sorry to hear that. 

I actually got my mother the complete Quantum Leap series on DVD recently so we've both been watching a lot of them.  He was such an entertaining character.

DEAN STOCKWELL had a long career starting as a child actor and is in many wonderful films like KIM (with ERROL FLYNN and PAUL LUKAS) and THE BOY WITH GREEN HAIR (the tune "Nature Boy" was it's theme) and SONS AND LOVERS   LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT   COMPULSION
