Correct. I personally found the film so goofy it was fun.

That movie is wonderfully bad... who can forget the peepee pull?   Doesn't that one also have the bigfoot hybrid backwoods birth?

I've seen 1/2 of these. Again I do this every year and the point is to watch movies I've never seen so the big guns (Universal Monsters, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw, Friday the 13th and so on) I try to save for rewatches to a minimum but I will take some of the suggestions for futures lists.

And yes, it's a killer Bigfoot movie. With Devil worshipers. And a guy gets his dick ripped off. Another gets tossed in a sleeping bag. Great movie.

And let us never forget the hilariously absurd double-girl scout murder!

In all seriousness, I love Bigfoot movies and find (many of) them legitimately scary. (It probably helps that I believe that giant cryptids are real. Errr.  ) NOTD is a particular stand-out as it is REALLY grisly and mean-spirited, the backstory is bleak, and there are actually a couple of moments that are intense as hell, possibly meaning that the scariness I receive could be appreciated by other viewers. But for those who are made of tougher stuff than I, there are indeed also plenty of hack-handed laffs to be had.
