Starring a certain South African as Trev B. Filthy, a psychotic murderer who kills his victims using hazardous fumes from his undies, no doubt.  :buggedout:

Looks like they are going to be busy in Cape Town this year. According to the article

"The news was welcomed with much excitement as this is yet another major boost for the City of Cape Town (COCT) after it has already authorised 1 017 film shoots permits, 181 for the month of January alone."

Also, and according to another relative article, the City of Cape Town launch a website to "promotional campaigns to let international clients know that the Cape Town film collective is open for business and that the technology for remote filming, are available."

So, Cape Town is like the new Hollywood but in South Africa.

Indeed: we've been making movies since before Hollywood and we have the 5th oldest film industry in the world and the oldest in Africa. The biggest centres for filmmaking here are Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Been some huge movies made here over the years, including Zulu, The Wild Geese and more recently, much of Avengers Age of Ultron was filmed in Johannesburg.

Part of my job involves looking after the films which are made here.

I couldn't edit my previous post (at the moment, I can't edit my posts), but what I want to say was that I didn't know that a lot of filmmakers, productions move to Cape Town (and South Africa) to make movies. It's like you don't need to go to Hollywood to have all what you need to start or complete a production.

That is really nice.
