Isn't that the way it is done these days?  Find an artful or dramatic pic in the photo archives that illustrates the text, rather than an actual pic of the thing being discussed?  All I know is that I see it a lot.

Gets pretty silly.  I have seen pictures of people, places, and what they are doing completely at odds with the accompanying text.  Not that anyone seems to care.

My favorite story has to do with Beverly Sills...

Before she got famous, she did a gig a a Nebraska high school at the same time the state was hit with this wheat fungus that was killing the cattle....

On the front page of the local paper, there was a picture of a dead cow, captioned that Beverly Sills was to sing at a local high school....
Under Sills' photo on the front page, the caption read, "Stinking Smut hits Nebraska"
