One of my very favorite punk movies is SUBURBIA (1984)
The punk who makes Easter eggs is a pre-Chili's Flea!

Damn you Trevor, that is what I was going to post.

I think so! My friend Ethan was a true punk. He dressed up as a Droog for Halloween!

But there's NO Punk music in it... also notice that one band name on the chart list at the milk bar is The Heaven Seventeen...

^No. There is no punk music in it.
But it's got that attitude.
I think the 'punk' mindset is more than just the music. It's hard to explain.
It's a 'f**k you, I don't care' attitude. In the early years it was a gang like mentality.
When I lived on Long Island in the 80's, all me and my brothers listened to was punk. We lived and breathed it. I didn't dress like a punk, per se. I had long hair, wore cheap sunglasses, and dressed like a bum. The only one who dressed like a punk was my brother Mike. Oh yeah- My brother Richie shaved his head, which was not a 'look' in 1984.

I understand you but it's the music that defines "Punk" movie in my mind.  The characters in A CLOCKWORK ORANGE are revoltingly violent and depraved.  I hate that movie and it's the PUNK aspect of it I hate the most.  The overall society is of course diseased.

My generation too, no 'splanation necessary.

You said the 'punk' aspects of a Clockwork Orange you dislike the most. But you admit the punk aspects are there.
As far as shaved heads. At the time, on Long Island, Twisted Sister and Motley Crue were the big deal.
Not to many shaved head among the locals. And everyone heard the music we listened to. The neighbors for sure. Black Flag was not big with anyone  on the outside . It was very isolating, and somehow empowering.

REPO MAN (1984)

This is no doubt my favorite.

I'll also throw in SID & NANCY, though you might consider it an anti-punk movie... they aren't glamorized.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

That it stars Daniel Roebuck of the RIVER'S EDGE (1986) and the MUNSTERS (2022) is a plus!
