Haven't gotten into this one, I'm interested, but too many things on my plate already. I only saw "Breaking Bad" several years after it ended.

Better Call Saul has inevitably played out in the shadow of Breaking Bad but it's not a clone. I would say Better Call Saul is definitely a morality play with undertones of tragedy, while Breaking Bad was a celebration of an evil opportunist cunningly passed off as an antihero. Of the two BCS also requires a lesser suspension of disbelief. Both are among TVs great series, in my opinion.
