I introduced my students to the joy and wonder (insert sinister laugh) of THE STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL.
For their sanity and mine, I skipped the scene with Itchy and his electronic go-go dancer (how did that get past the network censors in 1978??), but even so, their anguish was exquisite!
Favorite moments:  one 8th grade boy kept plaintively asking: "How is THIS Star Wars??"

and one 7th grader, about 20 minutes in, said: "Mr. Smith, this is AWFUL!!"
I gave him an evil smile and replied: "I never said I was showing it as a reward!"
