The Automatic Creation of Literature Abstracts

A 1958 article describing how "a modern electronic data processing system" could summarize articles. It's so old, they had to create punch cards of the articles they used to demonstrate the system! They suggested that tpyewriters should have tape-punchers, to make the process easier; they also anticipated OCR readers. Not an old site, but interesting! And one of the few AI-related articles I can sorta understand.
