Seventeen months after taking twenty-five year retirement from my previous employers, I have a new job. It, uh, kinda doesn't actually pay anything
but after being asked and saying no for the past year, I agreed to become assistant director of the food pantry where my daughter and I have been volunteering the past four years. This will involve about twelve to eighteen hours a week through most of the year and sometimes much more during the holidays, when it might be more like a full-time undertaking in November and December. Hopefully I can do some good in this life (finally), knock on wood.
