I'm just going to stick with the 4 disc set. I can live without the work print disc.

The original release has never been improved on.

I picked up a boxed set in Kings Lynn of (I think) 9 different versions of Blade Runner. I've watched the original and the last one. I doubt I'll ever watch the ones in between. Honestly, I liked the voice over. Felt it gave it a very film noir feel to it.

I have the 5 disc box set: always amazes me that there can be so many versions of the same movie.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

I remember watching it when it came out in the theaters and had a great time. But when I saw it recently (I think it was the director's cut) I found it overrated: several parts were slow, and there were some problems with character development.

I like it, too - because it's so awkward and off. Reportedly Harrison Ford hated the idea of the voice-over and was trying to sabotage it by delivering a stilted reading. Ironically it just makes him sound more convincingly like an imitation of life instead of the genuine article... which is of course quite effective!
