Did you drink or do drugs as a teenager?

Like when you was a runny nose.
I know I did. I smoked weed, dropped microdot, any pill my freinds gave me, smoked LOTS of pot, smoked hash and opium. All in HIGH school. And look at me now!  

I did NOT drink alot- unless I walked to my friend Nick's house. His dad- on old Russian- had the best, STRONGST, homemade wine you ever had.
The thing is, drinking was acceptable among farmers. And that's who I lived and went to school with. So when I quit school in 1979,I quit drugs and drank like a fish.

Other than a bit of drinking not to excess, not until I was 18. In fact I was steadfastly anti-drug.

I got depressed after breaking up with my high school sweetheart and drowned my sorrows with liquor. Within a few months I'd tried cigarettes, marijuana, hash, LSD, and cocaine (just once). Into my 20s all of those excesses became very rare except for drinking, which nearly got out of hand by my mid-twenties. Fortunately, I survived without becoming an alcoholic like some of my drinking buddies. Smoking was the only devil I could not totally shake.

Wish I could just say no (ahem) but I drank a couple times as a teen. Really it wasn't something that drew me, and I stood to lose too much to indulge, since I made a deal with my dad that if I didn't drink or do drugs or break laws, and if I kept my grades high, I could otherwise do almost anything else I chose, which wasn't a bad bargain. So it wasn't worth it.

It wasn't a matter of what my Dad and Mary Jo wanted. I never even talked to them, except for fighting.
Everyone in our family was a drunk. Went back years. Not a joke.

No drugs.  Never.  Not interested.

The occasional beer.  My dad tried to hide them in the pantry/laundry room but I found 'em.

My Dad was a 6 foot 3 Baptist preacher.
Even if I had been so inclined, I would have been scared to drink or do drugs!
But the truth is, the church stuff took with me and I had no interest in doing either.
Still don't.

No: I did smoke cigarettes and looking back, I never should have started.

Sporadically. I was around it. Wasn't my thing so much, but occasionally I would,on fishing trips.
