I must confess I'm interested in this one. I'd like to see something that led on from Day of the Dead rather than Land of... or Diary etc.

I've been hearing about this one for a while.  I didn't much care for Romero's last few attempts, but maybe this one will feel more along the lines of the classics.

The last Romero movie I enjoyed was DAY OF THE DEAD (1985). After that...nah. It's played out.
I did enjoy the remake of the CRAZIES. Despite the happy ending. The nihilistic ending of the first was much more up my ally.

The writers have crap credits and they don't seem to even have a director listed yet?  Keep your expectations LOW.

I hope it's surprisingly good, because man Survival is just terrible.  Be nice if he got a more fitting quasi-sendoff.
