Your childhood trauma movies?

This was a film I remembered watching as a child but couldn't remember the name of it. I discovered the film on VHS in the mid 2000's at Harris Teeter and happy to confront this weird childhood memory. That film was Making Contact (1985) aka Joey directed by Roland Emmerich.

Please do tell me about BAFFLED - don't know that one.

It was an unsold TV pilot about a motor racer who has a car accident - it's implied that he dies - and when he revives, he's tormented by visions of a woman screaming, a haunted house and an evil little girl. Scared the crap out of me when my folks let me watch it.

Yes: I think that's the reason my folks let me watch it.

not sure if this counts, but the commercials for Gremlins gave me nightmares ---- which is probably why I still haven't seen it
