"A spider," she told him. "A big one."

"Is it the same one as yesterday?"

"I don't know, I didn't ask it for ID."

Shaun Hutson - WEB

Zombie no one, do you read a lot of Shaun Hutson? I went through a period of reading some of his stuff in my late teenage years. Still got the books.
Hail to thyself

I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

yeah in my teens I got through loads of his books. they all had really cool covers, and edgy one-word titles...then he seemed to go less horror and more 'crime', and I kind of lost interest tbh.

then I randomly  picked up his new short-story anthology from this year (where the above quote is from). it's quite fun

I don't know if you are familiar with Guy N. Smith  but I found his work to be very similar to Hutson's.
Hail to thyself
For I am my own master
I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

not read any but I know of the name, and of his book NIGHT OF THE CRABS

shame it wasn't also a movie, with a title like that...
