RIP Bill Walton

NBA legend and hometown Portland Trailblazer Bill Walton has died of cancer related issues.

Sad; though I wasn't crazy about his delivery during his broadcasting days or his eccentricities (or his attitude with team doctors over his injuries) he was a figurehead among the community and gave back far more than he received.  Rest well, big guy.

I liked hearing him call basketball games. Entertaining fellow. It's rare to find a hippie athlete. RIP.
