Not sure if I have any specifically odd printings of cheap DVD's, but my favourite random find was a strange documentary called The Jupiter Menace. I wrote about it FOURTEEN YEARS AGO here:

How the heck did fourteen years go by so quickly?? The Jupiter Menace was a fantastic find, and can be watched here:

The DVD I have of the thriller IDENTITY spells Amanda Peet's name as AMANDDA and the general quality makes me think it's a knockoff copy. Even the printing is skewed 😳

Well, I bought A Serbian Film and Salo, or the 100 days of Sodom last year. No amount of bathing after watching these will remove the stench from my life.

I don't blame you for thinking that 😳😉😉

I guess those DVD/Blu-Rays are as "odd" as any others that have been mentioned.  :bluesad:

I have a VHS of Steve Carver's AN EYE FOR AN EYE (1981).

I was delighted to find this until I saw all the crap on the front cover which read:

KICKED OUT OF THE POLICE FORCE: no, he resigned.
THEY KILLED HIS KARATE MASTER'S NIECE: no, his sensei's daughter!

Then this on the back cover, typos and all  :buggedout:

SEAN KANE, A FORMER POLICEMAN HAS RESIGNED AFTER KILLING TWO MEN TO AVENGE A COLLEAGUE'S ASASINATION. HOWEVER, IT IS ONLY AFTER THE DEATH OF A TV JOURNALIST & THE NIECE OF HIS KARATE MASTER THAT KANE SETTLES TO FIND THE KILLERS.

THE TRAIL IS DANGEROUS. CAN HIS KARATE TRAINING SAVE HIM AGAINST

You know how some times movies will have blurbs and quotes from popular critics, newspapers, or magazines on the cover?  I once saw a DVD at Target that had a quote from Badmovies.org right on the cover.

I don't have it, couldn't tell you what movie it was, and regret not picking it up to this day.

It was The Being (1981), and Andrew's quote was taken WAY outa context.  :bouncegiggle:

THANK YOU!  I've been trying to remember that what movie was for ages.  ... I guess I probabaly should have asked somebody....

I was going to pick up a copy just for that, but I actually already have a copy of The Being and I don't think that it's a movie worth owning two copies of.
