...thought that might be it but there's ANOTHER DIRTY MOVIE (some NATIONAL LAMPOONS sequel I'm more than happy to claim ignorance of until now)

I considered THE LEGEND OF..., however despite being used for a few sequels (ANCHORMAN, CITY SLICKERS, ST. TRINIAN'S) it seems to be used even more frequently for standalone movies, or first installments, so not gonna count that one.

I dunno if these count, but i think its funny when movies have dates/times in their titles and their sequels just change the date to a later one

yeah definitely a sequel-y trick...  I suppose more loosely we could have 'Change of time frame' as a thing?
