There was an X-Files episode. Migrant workers reported a sighting. Mulder though the Chupacabras were aliens. Episode ended with three different explanations, all of which probably seem corny out of context.

Someone should remake "The Killer Shrews" as "Chupacabra Seige." I suggest shaved dogs as the chupacabras.

In real life, they're probably dogs, coyotes, or wolves with mange. If a predator broke an animal's neck quickly, it wouldn't draw blood, which would create the illusion that it sucked all the blood out of its prey. If someone chased the predator off, it wouldn't have time to do more damage.

good idea... extra points if it's filmed on camcorder and a cheap boom mic that keeps coming into view

I only ever saw 1 X-FILES episode... the premier.

the blood sucking angle has 'cattle mutilation' connotations because that's apparently what happens with those... maybe the chups are behind it all!  :buggedout:
