if youtube comments (my only real exposure to anything approximating 'social media') are anything to go by, direct insults seem to be on the wane... never see 'douchebag', 'retard' or 'a***ole' flung around in battle any more

I have friends on X who subscribe to UK political feeds and that came up in my feed.

So it's basically like Facebook where you can read what your friends have subscribed to. I never knew or cared to look up how X works, haha.

That's it, yes.

I have some friends there who subscribe to, shall we say, more adult accounts and I get follow requests from Ninja Lingerie Grannies etc.   

The main issue with X is the amount of scam accounts you get: I have had so many follow requests from famous actors like Jermy Rener and Jeremy Runner, it boggles the mind.
