What happened after the movie stopped?

I was re-watching ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 and the characters are so well written that I got to thinking about what would have happened to the three main characters after the events of the movie.

Ethan: promoted high up the line for his bravery.

Napoleon: his death row sentence was reduced to life and he was eventually released on parole after ten years served.

Leigh: recovered from her injuries and maintains a solid friendship with Ethan and Napoleon.

Great idea for a thread. I watched 17 AGAIN last month and wondered about the long-term implications post-closing credits....... quick synopsis: Matthew Perry and Leslie Mann are divorced, Perry somehow transforms into 17 year old Zac Efron and befriends his own teen son and daughter in order to get closer to his ex-wife and win her back (.......). Thus Efron urges his daughter Michelle Trachtenberg to get shut of her crummy boyfriend, and when she finally gets over the creep, of course she eventually throws herself at Efron, rubs all over his body, tries to make out with him, etc. He demurs and by the end of the movie he and Leslie reunite and he turns back into Matthew Perry.   :bluesad:  Heh.

So, post-credits, I imagine three possible outcomes: 1.) Leslie and Perry never explain to their kids why they've reconciled in spite of irreconcilable differences, and pretend like they have no idea what happened to "Zac Efron". 2.) Perry explains to Trachtenberg that he was Efron the whole time, and she requires years or decades of therapy to process and get over trying to have sex with her own father. 3.) The family dynamic begins to resemble something in movies usually only found on Pornhub, Redtube, Incestflix, etc.

Was watching An American Werewolf in London recently. Great movie.

But it just abruptly ends as he gets shot and immediately reverts back to human...then the credits roll.

Despite like, this whole chase sequence, dead bodies, a bunch of people witnessing it. Effective I guess but like, do the cops and everyone just go "Oh, ok, pip pip. Carry on."

I agree - I always though AWIL would've benefited from a short coda post-shooting between Naughton's character and Griffin Dunne as the ghost. Maybe that would've been too cute or glib, but it would've provided a little more dramatic closure.

Yeah. Would've been nice.

I mean, it's not the ending is 'terrible' but just left me like "huh?" but I don't make movies so I mean, there's that.
