1980's The Changeling is an undeservedly under-rated and often overlooked masterpiece of a ghost story.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

I remember watching it as an adult and being mesmerized by the storytelling. The main character is an elderly broken man, not the middling handsome male protagonist of horror movies. The female lead is reaching middle age, and although she's hot to trot for the protagonist, it leads nowhere. There is no villian, and even the "opposing side" is a sympathetic character. I can't recommend this movie enough to others.

Very, very scary. I've never looked at a red bouncy ball the same way since 😳😳
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.
